Fìkh Zaci Sewo

Fìkh Zaci Sewo (/ˈzaci/ /ˈsewo/ [anxious] [squirrel]) is a subtropical Town located in Culdcatt Hold, Mækyitjĭesǐzbăkhka District, within the Federation of Alveria.

The name Fìkh Zaci Sewo is derived from the Constructi language, as Fìkh Zaci Sewo was founded by Tsêmtco Trêrêgëm, who was culturaly Constructi.

Climate

Fìkh Zaci Sewo has a yearly average temperature of 28°C (82°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 25°C (77°F). Fìkh Zaci Sewo receives an average of 216 cm/y (85 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Fìkh Zaci Sewo covers an area of nearly 5 km² (2 mi²), and an average elevation of 4522 m (14835 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Fìkh Zaci Sewo was founded durring the late 15th century in spring of the year 1396, by Tsêmtco Trêrêgëm. The establishment of Fìkh Zaci Sewo was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Tsêmtco Trêrêgëm struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Fìkh Zaci Sewo as a prison colony.

Fìkh Zaci Sewo was built using the conventions of Constructi durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fìkh Zaci Sewo is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Fìkh Zaci Sewo is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of premissive cobblestone streets which form octogonal paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. The robustly designed timber walls has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

A look around Fìkh Zaci Sewo gives you a feeling of distrust and paranoia. Also greed. The locals seem to be very much into scholastic pursuits, based on the hushed, murmured conversations you hear at least. Everyone in Fìkh Zaci Sewo acts like they have discovered something wondrous, and are worried they will endure some horrible fate so another can take what they’ve discovered for themselves.

Civic Infrastructure

Fìkh Zaci Sewo has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Fìkh Zaci Sewo. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Fìkh Zaci Sewo's parks.

Fìkh Zaci Sewo has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Fìkh Zaci Sewo.

Fìkh Zaci Sewo has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Fìkh Zaci Sewo has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Fìkh Zaci Sewo has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Fìkh Zaci Sewo's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Fìkh Zaci Sewo has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Fìkh Zaci Sewo's natural decorations nor waterways.

Fìkh Zaci Sewo has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Fìkh Zaci Sewo has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Life is hard in Fìkh Zaci Sewo. Its people are impoverished compared to their peers elsewhere. Something is making the locals stay, however, whether fear of the alternative, hope for a better future, or a stubborn attachment to their ancestral lands. Whatver the reason, living in this harsh area for generations has made the people of Fìkh Zaci Sewo a notably resourceful and hearty people.

Fìkh Zaci Sewo's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is skipped in Fìkh Zaci Sewo.

The Mud Elemental, Small near Fìkh Zaci Sewo are known to be quite timid.

Fìkh Zaci Sewo's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves sex to channel Elven High Magic energies of tier 1 via recitation of scripture.

Economy

The following information was obtained via the Imperial Census Bureau as part of the Eyom Economic Outreach Program. It differs from Standard Imperial censuses in that many of Tom's citizens, regardless of culture, work in more than one occupation or hold more than a single job.
